Templates describe how to render images and videos for your products. By setting up just one template you can have thousands of images or videos automatically created for all your products.

We recommend starting from one of the sample templates and modifying it to suit your needs. Please have a look at the videos available here in the help center to gain an understanding of the template editor. Start with the Getting Started with Templates video.

Publishing

You can freely edit a template without worrying that it will affect your existing channels and campaigns. When you're done you press the "Publish" button, which will cause channels and then campaigns to update as soon as possible with your new design.

  • You can revert your changes using the revert button in the upper right corner of the template editor.

  • You can copy the template using the "Make a copy of this template" button in the upper right corner of the template editor.

Placeholders

Placeholders connect product data like images and ad copy, to template elements in the graphical layout.

The template usually contains a number of different elements, for example images and text boxes. You can add more elements using the left panel in the template editor, after which they'll show up under the "Placeholders" panel on the right side.

Refer to the Working with Placeholders article for more information.

Automations

Automations are little if/then/else instructions that come in handy to modify the template when some conditions are met. For example

  • Show different graphics and prices when the product is on sale.

  • Show campaign graphics during some time period, e.g. during Black Week where some products are on sale.
